Tea Station Asian Bistro - Prospect

Picked up takeout on Mothers day. Ordering was easy. Order was hot, correct and on time. Typically will have at least 3 nights of leftovers. Staff was friendly and polite from moment I walked in. Restaurant was packed and seemed like everyone was having a good time. My wife and I have been coming here for years and it has always been a pleasant experience. Great staff , food, and location. My wife and I had lunch here today. Since it's been a while I thought I would update my last review. As it was last time it is still a wonderful food experience. The food was served fresh, hot and very delicious. We started out with Hot and Sour soup and it was the best we've had in some time. We then enjoyed a Spring Roll thanks to a special free offer when you check in on Yelp. My entree was the Shrimp and my wife the Chicken. They were both outstanding. Our server went out of his way to give us excellent service and he was very personable. We can't wait to return.

If not for the service of Aaron, I probably would've rated this place a 3 star instead of a 4 star. But his service was superb. I didn't get the name of our female server but she was great too. I ordered the Pork Egg Foo Young with the gravy on the side. I am not a fan of the sauce that came with it but once I described to Aaron what I was used to, he brought out a different sauce that was much better. My husband ordered the Orange Chicken and also the Sweet and Sour Chili chicken wings. He enjoyed both. We will likely return...if for no other reason the service.

My rating is a 3.5 stars. I really wanted to love this place since I've been seeing photos of the gorgeous food for months/years. I'm never in the area of Norton Commons and couldn't justify a 25 minute drive. Reviews are good, so I was excited to try it. Last week I was finally in the area and had the opportunity to try it out. The online ordering process was easy, and I was quoted a pickup time of 20-25 minutes. I had wanted to try sushi but didn't see on their online menu. I ordered two soups, hot sour and wonton soup, crab Rangoon, side salad with ginger dressing, general tso chicken and the tofu pad Thai. I also ordered the house duck sauce, which cost extra. When I arrived at the restaurant I had to wait another 10 or so minutes for the order. Staff was friendly and offered me something to drink while I waited at the bar. Restaurant is on the smaller side and about half of the tables were full. Lots of young staff working at the restaurant, but they were attentive and checked in on me several times. Let's start with the soup reviews. I would recommend the soups. We had to reheat a bit since they were slightly cold but I had a long drive home. The hot and sour had a nice depth of flavor and was slightly spicy, and the wonton soup had a deep rich flavor. It was very decadent! They also included two big bags of fried wontons for the soup. Next up, the crab Rangoon, which was perfect! I've been searching for a great crab Rangoon and this is it. Not too cream cheesy or crabby, but a perfect amount of each fried to a golden brown. They also included sweet and sour sauce, but ended up using the house duck sauce. The house sauce was unique, but added a new flavor to the Rangoon. The side salad was what you would expect, but the dressing was watery and bland. I would not order it again. Made the salad flavorless, and I usually love salads. The entrees were disappointing. The general tso chicken didn't have much flavoring and my husband thought the coating was too thick. The pad thai was really bland and tasted like soy sauce and was too salty. There was no dimension of flavor or mix of sweetness. The portion was large but we barely ate it. Can't really compare to a traditional pad Thai because it was so different. More like noodles with soy sauce. My review is a 3.5. We liked the soups and crab Rangoon but the entrees were okay.

I ordered won ton soup, pork fried rice (without peas carrots), and two chicken egg rolls with house mustard. Everything was fresh, hot and yummy!! Really enjoyed my meal!!
