Bidrage med feedbackMy wife and I occasionally make the drive from our home in Terrace to Prince Rupert for a change of scenery and a meal. Over the years, we have dined at many restaurants in Rupert, but recently we have been consistently enjoying lunch at Ocean View. Today was no different, and as always, we were pleased with our meals and the service. I ordered the shrimp sandwich with chicken tortellini soup, while my wife opted for the halibut with sweet potato fries. Both dishes were delicious and satisfying, and we washed them down with a beer from a local brewery. We have never been disappointed with our choice to eat at this charming café for lunch and look forward to returning in the future.
If you're looking for a place to unwind and take in a stunning view of the Prince Rupert harbor, while enjoying a delicious meal and drinks with friends, Ocean View is the perfect spot for you. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including daily specials. I highly recommend trying the custom burger, topped with sautéed onions, melted cheese, and perfectly placed pickles. The food is delicious and the service is exceptional, making it a top choice for a relaxing outing!
Now found out that this place is open again, so we had to come and check it, I had the Halibut woman had chicken fingers and the table shared the nachos. Nice to see the cook again and do a great job with his food.
With the day of work this was one of the few ways to eat. As soon as we entered the long standing facility (built in 1910), we were welcomed by a rather random collection of displays. The bar was also impressive, many options for those who want to wet their pipe and clog it. Service was great, greeted and given the menu and special of the day not too long after we found ourselves a place. The one we appreciate about this pub/restaurant is that it is a good separation for those who only eat and also a place for those who want to enjoy some drinks. Since it was a bit late for lunch, we decided to look at the basics of the menu. We ordered the grilled cheese with bacon and one side of Yamsfries, and appetizer plate no. 1. The grilled cheese was delicious not too greasy and generous on the bacon with the crispy Yam frits that complicate it. The appetizer was also a delight that contained hand-cut pommes, onion rings, torpedo shrimps, boneless pig bites and salt and pepper chicken wings. Perfect for brunch or plates for some cold drinks! Service was also great, we were served by Amanda (did you know that they won the best server two years in a row? . She ensured that our orders were satisfied and that the food was our pleasure. We would return here for a quick bite.
Was told about this little hideaway from a local that we’re working for it’s an old historic hotel and restaurant was the best looking place from the outside but the ocean view was amazing and had the seafood platter not much I can say other...unreal was a ton of food that tasted great!!
