When I visited Prince, I stayed at the Carmel Inn and, being a big truck driver, I couldn't just go anywhere. Luckily, I didn't have to look far for a good restaurant as Carmel is right next door. The food is consistently delicious, and the service is top-notch. Today, I was pleasantly surprised to find out they were still serving takeout. I ordered simple dishes (chicken wings and loaded poutine) and John, who took my order, recommended their hot honey garlic wings. I have to say, they were the best wings I've had in a long time. John made them mild just for me, and he definitely deserves a 5-star rating. The poutines were also fantastic. Thank you, John, for your excellent service and delicious food.
We visited the Carmel restaurant after a comfortable stay at the Carmel Inn. With our breakfast vouchers in hand, we had the option of a free continental breakfast buffet or $4 off any regular breakfast menu item. The restaurant was bustling when we arrived at 9:30 a.m., but we were able to find a cozy spot towards the back. The restaurant appeared to have been updated recently, matching the refreshed look of the motel next door. The staff did a great job of maintaining the place. The atmosphere was typical of a family-friendly diner, with laminate flooring, off-white walls, and dark blue booths with stained glass dividers. A small bear decoration greeted us at the entrance. While some may find the décor uninspiring, I personally enjoyed its nostalgic charm. The breakfast menu focused on homemade comfort food, with options like omelets, pancakes, French toast, and special dishes like Corned beef hash or eggs Benedict. The Seniors Breakfast section also offered a variety of choices. Our simple orders of eggs with breakfast meat, toast, and hash browns were well-prepared and satisfying. The prices were reasonable, especially with the discount from our vouchers. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience and would recommend it to others staying at the Carmel Inn. It's a great option for a hearty breakfast before hitting the road.
Just had the worst meal ever...my husband ordered beef dip..he was half through his meal when he turned over his bun too find it all green mould..
Family restaurant located near hwy. 97 in Prince George. We have club dinner meetings in the basement banquet room at this facility. The meals are tasty, service is average at mid-range prices.
