Bidrage med feedbackToday, I finally made it to this quaint Café (that my Dad swears by), tucked away in a quiet shopping centre in Moreletapark, and I could not have been more impressed!<br/ <br/ Café Boma is the latest offering by the famous Boma Vleismark known in this part of the world for having the best meat in Pretoria by the locals, and this statement is supported by its National Cleaver Award. On an aside, Boma Vleismark is also the only butcher in town that we purchase our meats from, because it has proved its weight in gold each and every time and I highly recommend it!<br/ <br/ With a heritage in the meat department like that, I couldn't resist trying at least one of their meaty options on my first visit here. <br/ <br/ On the food side, the Boma Breakfast is famous in this part of the world and for good reason!<br/ <br/ The Boma Breakfast: 2 eggs, 3 rashers of bacon, grilled tomato and toast. <br/ From there, they allow you to add on a number of options and customise your breakfast with 200g steak, original Boerewors, mutton sausage, cheese griller, pork banger, pap kaiings, fried mushrooms.. the list goes on and on. <br/ The Boma Breakfast is the ultimate fry-up and my Dad often even orders it at lunch time, which they kindly arrange for him! <br/ <br/ We also selected two salads to share (thinking that we would take home whatever we didn't end up eating for lunch):<br/ Biltong Salad: Salad with avocado, feta and sliced biltong with honey and mustard dressing.<br/ Chicken Avocado Salad: Tender chicken strips with roasted tomato, avocado and red pesto.<br/ I was impressed with the portion sizes and with reasonable pricing to match, this makes Café Boma one for the hidden gem range! I will return soon.<br/ <br/ *Recommendation: This is truly the spot for fussy meat-lovers, and with exceptional quality meats, you can't go wrong ordering a meaty option! I plan to return soon for one of their steaks! <br/ <br/ <br/ <br/ For more, find me on Instagram, Facebook Twitter: LaurasWorldza
Amazing vibe, delicious food at great prices, friendly staff, acoustic live music!I would suggest the restaurant to anyone looking for a warm comforting atmosphere.
An normal monthly breakfast which we had at Cafe Boma in Moreleta Park. Somewhat unknown restaurant produced a not too bad first experience. The place were neat and spacious. Friendly reception and services.Extremely cheap breakfast that taste amazing.I ordered the Boma breakfast with an additional add-on of pap and kaiings. An overall good experience with tasty foods
This place is quite new. Or I haven't heard about it until my dad took us there for dinner. I only know Boma as a butchery and we thought we would try it as they would have quality meat.<br/ First impressions weren't bad. The place is neat and clean. The bar is well decorated and the staff were very friendly.<br/ <br/ You order your piece of meat and sides individually. Their prices are really good and reasonable.<br/ <br/ My mom and I had the fillet. It was made just the way we ordered, medium. The meat was soft and juicy. Real nice. For sides we had Pampoenkoekies. They received praise from everyone at the table. I just had veggies. It lacked a bit of seasoning but was good overall.<br/ <br/ My Dad had the T-Bone. It was also done perfectly. He had pap and sheba. The sheba was a bit tasteless. But my father enjoyed it nonetheless.<br/ <br/ Everything went well throughout the evening. The only point I think they can approve on is their desserts. I know they specialise in meat. But it would just take them a notch up if they can make the last course memorable as well. The malvapudding should be made with homemade custard.<br/ <br/ I think this place has the potential to be a really well known restaurant, because of the good quality of their meat. We will definitely visit again.
Food was great. I had a biltong and peppadew quiche and my hubby had a bacon burger. We both had cappucinos and also way up there! Waiting staff is friendly and efficient. Will definitely come back!
