We did a post wedding in Positano visit to our family and friends in Pratola Peligna the town of my roots. My cousin, as a gift to the bride and groom gave a luncheon so we could see everyone. It was a very last minute plan because we were having trouble figuring out how to see everyone in such a short time. First off you would have thought this was planned for a long time it was so well orchestrated. Second it was billed as a light lunch but the food just kept on coming. And such unbelievably good food. Recipes like those I grew up with and some I still make to this day. Unbelievably delicious. They even allowed one of my cousins to bring in a homemade dish that is one of my favorites and some homemade desserts. Unreal. We were in Italy for two weeks and other than the wedding day itself this is our favorite memory. And quite near the top mealwise. My mouth longs to eat this meal again. Kudos to the owners....and my cousins for planning it.
Have been to Pratola 3 times now. My family is from this little quaint village. We came here late one evening to meet with our cousins for a nice quick dinner. The staff were very friendly and we had assistance communicating with them because of our cousins. The antipasti was amazing; the bruschetta topped with pesto, sausage, etc. The riso and radicchio, the ricotta polpettes. All delicious.
Wow, did we ever eat too much. A friend of the owner took us here and he pulled out all the stops to feed us. We got a sampling of appetizers and pizza. WAY too much food but it was delicious!
We ordered appetizers for two (there were three of us). So much food, very different dishes. Nice sharing experience and good food. Best place to eat if you are ever in Pratola Peligna, Italy
