Un Piano Nel Cielo - Praiano

This meal was unbelievable! An expensive evening but it was a highlight of our trip. Views are beautiful and design is very modern and sleek. The food was like art and the sommelier picked the BEST local wines for us! Truly one of the best nights of our honeymoon. Worth every penny!

This place is an experience. You receive a book of water to choose what type you want, at least 20 pages. The food itself, wow!! Every dish will make you crave more. The only thing the place is missing is a real wine sommelier

Sometimes in 5 star dining one can feel like they are in the Arctic. From the demeanor of the staff, the wine list, the food presentation etc.. This is not the case with Un Piano Nel Cielo. Siiting a top the roof at Hotel Casa Angelina Chef Leopoldo Elefante has got his brigade running like a fine tuned engine. Great service, with great wine and the chef's execution and presentation make for a superb dining experience. I will not get into each dish because my wife and I loved them all. It's just that you felt comfortable dining there because the staff and chef wanted you to feel that way. There was pleasant chatter about and you did not get the feeling people were walking on egg shells because it was a 5 star establishment. The water menu, yes they have one. and pretty extensive also, made me chuckle. Every Euro spent was worth it. Highly recommend!

Ho cenato due volte in questo ristorante durante il soggiorno in hotel, godendo il servizio impeccabile, la scelta di vini e acque, la proposta del menu di degotazione e la carta. ottime materie prime, preparazioni non scontate dal goto deciso e raffinato. crescerà alla stella, naturalmente!

Okay, so I live in NY City and work in finance and basically travel and eat for a living, top restaurants all around. YES, great service- the staff at the restaurant was awesome, but $1,000 for two adults and two small kids? The food was not that great, honestly. My daughter had a pasta dish that was sweet (BBQ sauce?? the meal took HOURS. There was something like three bread courses (to be fair, the bread was amazing. Also, the waiter informed us at the start that we MUST order an appetizer, entree and dessert each, even the kids. They did not want dessert, but had to order? Really?? ALSO, down at the entrance to the hotel prior to dinner, we had the oddest greeting as a staff member asked what we were doing there (four people all dressed up smartly for dinner. . .me in a sport coat, my wife in a long dress and then told us 'this is private property and only for guests of the hotel '. Huh?? That 's how you greet a diner? The hotel is gorgeous and the bartender on the first floor was great, they showed us a room (tiny like a W Hotel and way overpriced and yes, the view from the rooftop restaurant was great, but PEOPLE, THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER, FAR BETTER PLACES TO EAT ON THE AMALFI COAST FOR LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE! Don 't fall for this massively overpriced place (unless you are charging the bill to your corporate account! .
