A local restaurant. we spent many hours just to run praia and see what was there. we have this little restaurant on the corner a few blocks from the promenade. we had seen a lot of people who went into other days, so we decided to try. we almost got out because of the smokey atmosphere. there was a heart waiter and he spoke English. in the input there was about a dozen 4 satishes with about 3 used. within 15 minutes of our arrival was the place full! there were a few women dressed business casual, workers in jumpsuits and a few in traditional suits as well as casual 3 button shirts. When most of them arrived, he waved hallo to him, he brought them a drink – obviously their “normal” because some had water and some had so. he offered us a menu and told us that they have a different special every day. today's special for only $6. was black steak with salat and sweet. I chose the special and was very satisfied with the two 1⁄4” thick, which were about 3 x 6 inches in size. they were cooked with olive oil, garlic and seasoned. it was excellent. I was very disappointed when I got my plate to find 3 big white kartoffels on it. I expected the broccoli, cauliflower carrots, which I saw on a plate near. my man ordered the hamburger – super large roll, but nothing to rave over re: the hamburger himself. we returned a second time to review the special and it was a bark strawganoff so we decided to continue walking and find another place to lunch.

Excelent prices, very friendly stuff. But if you speak english, try to explain that you are not American.

Local workman's place to eat. Good price, good food. Not great variety but is understandable why.
