Anne's Kitchen - Powell

We ate here years ago after they opened and had an underwhelming experience. We decided to give Annie's another try. Definitely much improved from the first time. No more swarms of flies buzzing around your head and meal...glad they took care of that issue, LOL. This time I ordered the waffles and scrambled eggs. Their waffle is...different. You get two small waffles that are very dense and chewy. If you are expecting a light and fluffy waffle (who isn't? these are not that at all. They tasted ok, but I did not finish them. The scrambled eggs were a little dry and crumbly and had bits of egg shell in it. I could also taste some what I think was sausage grease from the griddle. I will go back and try something different like the omelette, I think I just need to find the right menu item for me. Even with it's flaws, it's probably the best traditional breakfast place in Powell.

The waffles and strawberries were amazing, we had lunch with our crew there. Thanks for the friendly and fast service.

Large omelettes and prices are quite reasonable. I come out of a 15 miles long run, and I roll out feeling quite satisfied and left well on the plate because I ran out space. The staff was pleasant and did an amazing job to keep my glass full of water the entire visit. Pay attention to the weekends, ingredients are limited, and if they are gone, they are gone!!!

We ordered brunch from there this weekend! It is our new favorite breakfast place! Chicken and waffles were from this world! The muffins were so good. Everything was hot and well done. I'll compare every breakfast I'm on lol from now on

A great place for breakfast and dinner. I went with my brother and we both enjoyed our food. The service was great and the staff were helpful in the menu. I was between many options and got the breakfast dish. It was delicious.
