The market has Great products Nice people and very consistent I highly recommend this market
It truly pains me to write this review as in the past River Falls Market has been a fantastic place to pick up quality seafood, albeit at premium prices.Today though was not just disappointing based on the quality of the product ordered but more so the attitude of staff when an anomaly was brought to their attention.My wife and I have enjoyed the lobster rolls at River Falls Market as they are usually overflowing with lobster salad and quite honestly delicious. While there is a premium price we have always felt that we get our monies worth based on the product. Today the lobster rolls looked like the person making them had half filled each lobster roll.I brought this to the staffs attention and not only did they become belligerent and argumentative when asked if they could please redo them and fill them up as always. They refused and stated that, “that’s the way they’ve always been done”. Then they proceeded to repeat our conversation regarding the matter with another customer that happened to be in the store.There’s an old adage that says: Rule 1 The customer is always right. Rule 2 See Rule 1. I was mortified that they would share this complaint with another customer when I was standing right there.Maybe the staff member that confronted me was having a bad day or maybe this was a one time thing, but this was unacceptable. I would hate it if this what customers should expect when visiting River Falls MarketA very concerned customer
As a gift my son in-law brought me home some corned beef for St. Patrick’s Day. It was like shoe leather. Certainly not what I’m use to enjoying. Not a hard recipe to follow! Won’t be eating there again.
Sold me rotten salmon. I am a chef and have seen salmon of similar quality after about a week in the fridge. Ownership highly unprofessional, instead of owning up to their mistake and apologizing they are questioning my intentions and story. Ownership also stated they 've never had a complaint about the salmon well that 's a lie because you can scroll down a few reviews and see someone else say inedible salmon .... Well it 's true the salmon was rotten and I have no reason to undermine your business other than to tell the truth. Ownership actually told me that 's not very nice because I said they sold me bad salmon... I bought salmon for over $25 a pound and it was rotten. Nothing else to it. Thanks a bunch.
