Bidrage med feedbackThe waitress was adequate, the service was mediocre, and the food was nothing to write home about. Two of us felt a bit bloated, but the third member of our party spent the night and morning violently ill. He had the Salmon curry while we had chicken. His illness ruined the rest of his holiday, as he was on a pilgrimage to visit his parents' grave and childhood home. We cannot recommend this restaurant.
Went here with 3 friends. We ordered 4 indian dishes. 1 fish ,1 veg ,1 beef and 1 chicken. All looked and tasted the same except for meats. Chicken was supposed to have pineapple in it which was the reason it was ordered. Not a sign of a piece. When this was brought to their attention waitress took dish and brought it back some minutes later....Still no pineapple. Again brought to owners attention and she Argued with us. Couldn't believe it. We will never return. Avoid.
Not a very good experience! Was recommended this place and it was underwhelming! Food came out way too fast to prove it was freshly cooked (more like reheated). Very overpriced and tasteless! My husband and son were satisfied but my meal was cold and bland. My daughter had nuggets and chips that was over cooked but edible as she was starving. €99 for three meals and a bottle of house wine and a child’s dinner. Nobody asked us how our meal was so I didn’t get the opportunity to express my disappointment. I paid but let my feelings know after and the server gave me €20 in her defence. The town had very very limited places to eat so I’m assuming the high rating on this restaurant is down to that. I would return or recommend!
Restaurant (and Portumna in general) was very quiet for a Friday evening. Service was good and staff were friendly. Ate in the covered outdoor area. Jalfrezi was tasty but not as hot as expected.
Great food, nice staff, had the daily roast which was amazing, with shrimps for starter. Outside space, cosy.
