The Royal Kitchen - Portsmouth

The restaurant is located among a row of other similar takeaways and restaurants. I had a delicious prawn vindaloo with pilau rice, and the staff were attentive. The prices were reasonable as well. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I ordered a curry takeout in the middle of the week, but both the chicken and prawn dishes were overcooked. Like many midweek takeout places, the food was lacking in flavor. Although the service was fast, it did not make up for the disappointment of spending £26 on a meal that was not enjoyable.

This was my first time trying a meal or takeout from this restaurant. I ordered takeout and was very impressed with the service - there wasn't a long wait, even on a Saturday evening. My family agreed that the curry was one of the best we've ever had, so we're definitely planning to dine in at the restaurant in the future. Excellent experience overall.

We regularly order a takeaway from The Royal Kitchen and it is always delivered on time, hot and delicious. We also visit the restaurant occasionally too, usually on a week night, and it is again always excellent. High standard of food, always freshly cooked and the service is outstanding. Cannot recommend this place enough.
