Excellent friendly service and delicious food. monty’s caters easy for vegans, of which we had in our party. very good restaurant choice in southsea.

We booked on the day (for this evening) via open table and received the confirmation email. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told there was no booking for us, as with booking via open table, the bookings do not come through /checked by restaurant until the following day!, so, others are aware! we waited at the bar when they said a table would not be long, it was at the end about 40 minutes. the food was quite delicious, no bread with appetizer of smoked salmon as an outlet available.

I booked a table for my partner anniversary. once we came the restaurant closed, so the next day I spoke with a worker, he said that we closed Monday Tuesday, but there website says open 7 days per week, he was very rude the manager never back my call no apology at all nothing, would not recommend this place at all.

Celebrated birthdays with friends at Monty 's Wine Bar and restaurant for their Sunday lunch. Once again 'they did it ' and served the tastiest lunch. Service is fabulous and employees extremely attentive without being intruding and nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Portsmouth area. A 15min walk or 5 min taxi ride from Portsmouth station but definitely worth travelling. The décor is lovely and they have a wonderful bar on entry and a formal laid dining room at the rear that whilst looks formal is extremely welcoming and relaxing. If I had a Monty 's in London I would be a regular diner.
