This place is hidden gem it not much i can say but wow the food is fresh It a bar and bbq joint it very clean feels cozy the barmaid are very friendly the drinks on happy hour are very cheap the liquor is point We had a half Nacho the mount the nacho noo they not cheap, we had pull pork sandwiches they us our sauce on the side as we ask The sauce alone god bless America It was good Smoke juicy wings oh my god That was home run Beside the food and drinks there a pool table a dj you won't go in the jujoint

An unsuspecting dining experience in Portsmouth, VA that is well worth your time to enjoy. The service was excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The drinks and food came out fast and hot. The food is delicious! When you think about a BBQ spot, the Twisted Pig should be at the top of your list. They owner has taken the necessary steps to ensure that patrons are socially distanced and employees wore the appropriate PPE the ensure that food is handled safely. Please support local businesses when you can.

A quaint little hole in the wall local joint that specializes in smokehouse style menu and beers. We were with a rather large table and our orders were handle accurately and with detail. Our server did a great job keeping my glass full and the food was delicious. I recommend the smoked meatloaf. The cole slaw was perfect (not too sweet and not too sour) and the mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned. It is rare to come across a dive bare with great food and service these days.

If you like barbecue and all of the fixin’s, awesome staff, and a relaxed atmosphere, this is your place. They even have live entertainment on certain nights, which is always great. We come here three to four times a month and we always have a good time. We’ve ordered from here for events we’ve hosted, too (they have platters for call order ahead). It’s THAT good. Like I said, the staff here are great. Lots of other stuff on the menu. Everything we’ve had has been top notch. Oh! Their beer selection is great too! We love Twisted Pig!!!

This place was so quaint and welcoming. The brisket and pulled chicken was very good.
