Cilpper Tavern - Portsmouth

Great burgers. Cheap beer. Great service. Dog-friendly. What can I ask for more?

Stopped in while traveling. Community pub vibe, food was good. Mac daddy burger was overdone but tasted good. Hand cut fries were well done, brown and crispy, which I like but maybe not for everyone. Great job on the wings, like the variety of dry rubs available.

Loved the local community feel! We were traveling and arrived very late and most everything else was closed but thank goodness because we found Clipper Tavern! The bartender, Jill was so friendly and the hot was so good! We ordered pretzel bites, fried pickles, chicken tenders, and the poutine. Thank you Clipper Tavern!

Wonderful food and service. Would highly recommend. They make their own ice cream there. We had sliders fries that were the best. They had an outdoor seating area as well.

A good find in Downtown Portsmouth NH. Clippers Tavern. Seems like a local place, people seemed to know people by name. Service was great even though they were understaffed. food was great. Mix and match sliders. Burger and Nashville Hot Chicken hot cut seasoned fries. !! Boom. Also fried chicken sandwiches x 2. homemade not frozen! I would recommend Clippers.
