Great atmosphere. Great staff. Great food Could not have hoped for a better dining experience. Tried new foods and drink and can’t wait to go back!

Wow! The best in the island? Good service, good decoration, good menu, and very well done: wonderful tastes. A bit slow and not cheap. But definitely a jewel and a serious must!

A nostalgic return to Casa d'Avo Restaurante after nine years. We returned with dear friends from Portugal for dinner. Still the same old character building and style. Very friendly staff members going the extra mile to assist and make recommendations from the menu and wine list. We knew exactly in advance what we desired. Traditional Portuguese food throughout! Delicious for all courses and lovely Douro wine for accompaniement. Superb food, superb service at reasonable price. We look forward to our next visit. Obrigado Casa d'Avo.

Me and my partner came across this beautiful cosy restaurant on our first time to porto santo, we shared a few dishes as we weren't mega hungry, the espatada was incredible! Super tasty and the desert and starter were delicious too. Attentive and polite service- felt very welcome , can't fault this place at all, we will definitely be back within the next two weeks, thankyou so much.

Staying 10-15 minutes walk away we arrived at 1815 on a Monday we hadn’t booked. On arrival just one other couple, on our departure the outside terrace was nearly full. Popular. Our waiter was attentive, bringing a coral beer for me and house white for my wife- she declared the wine good . We didn’t chose starters but he persuaded us to have a half portion of garlic bread- quite an adequate portion, if that was half then a full would have been too much. My sirloin steak with green peppercorn sauce was excellent- ordered medium and brown outside with pink not too much) inside just the correct amount of sauce covering steak and enough to dip chips) ,10/10 excellent crunchy chips described as fried potatoes) skin on at ends, a salad of tomato, grated carrot and some greens- adequate, separate olive oil to add. My wife’s pancake of mixed vegetables with a mushroom sauce she described as good . We declined dessert though sounded temping, chocolate brownie, apple pie ice cream. We noted some other guests arrived being collected by the restaurant own driver.
