Pizzeria Skipper - PORTO SANT'ELPIDIO

We had very nice evening and delicious dinner at this Skipper restaurant. Staff speaks english and slovak language too. Which is not ussual around. In other places around they speaks mostly only italian language. We liked it very much in SKIPPER. And its possible to come with the dogs too what we appreciate very much. Thank you

We were visiting porto Sant' Elpidio for the first time having been disappointed by Civitanova Marche before. Hot and hungry we were warmly wecomed into the New Skipper riesaurant. There was a wonderful busy Sunday lunchtime atmosphere and an exciting smell of good food. As we were seated we could immediatlwy see at the next dtable just what we thought we wanted to eat. We went on to have a good starter of cold seafood antipasti, followed by the superb pentolacchi a large deep alloy pan) this mountain of seafood defeated even my husband. We were then invited to taste a very delicious dessert of the house. a semifreddo of pictscchio and nocciolo with chocolate sauce and chocolate crunch. This was washed down with good local white wine, perfectly matchedn to what we were eating . Though we had a really exceptional lunch, truly fresh and unfussy fish and seafood, one of the lasting memories is of the warmth and enthusuasm with which we were looked after by our lovely waitress and later the manager. Also important for us was the opportunity to discuss the fresh fish sourcing and to learn that the owner was prepared to pay considerably more for wild, not farmed mussels. Having arrived home we discovered that we had not been charged for the delicious dessert, which was a lovely touch. We plan to go there again and strongly recommed New Skipper to others, you won't be disappointed. We wish them the best of luck and every success! Keep it up! Bravo.

The food was fine, but the service was awful. Service makes the restaurant. There was not even a hint of it. So there is no significant purpose to visit this place. You can find much more better food with a perfect service, but not there.

We relied on good rating of this place and this was mistake. Skipper is located in very touristic area. We have been waiting for more that 30 minutes just for menu, which we received after reminder to waiter who kept tell us, that restaurant doesn't have enough staff. Then we have been waiting for another 20 minutes for wine list. The waiter forgot to tell us that they don't have wine we ordered. We called for manager, but this didn't help a lot. We finished our meals without wine! (First time in Italy). The quality of food was OK. Service was terrible. No attention, no help from staff at all. Just don't go to this place, try to find something better, which is not difficult in Italy.

I held my entire wedding here and I can't praise the team there highly enough. They went above beyond my (pretty high) expectations for the best day of my life! They offered advice suggestions to magically transform the outdoor space, and were totally on board with all my ideas for my theme and set up. On the afternoon of the event, there was a huge rainstorm which threatened to ruin all my plans for getting married outside. But the team at The Skipper went to Plan B, beginning to set up indoors, and then reverted to plan A again when they saw the weather change! They were fantastic. The food itself was faultless. Dish after dish appeared, each one was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. The service was on point too. There was always someone there to refill a glass, whisk away empty plates, and yet no-one was intrusive. I can't thank them enough and I wish them every success in their passion for running this restaurant with the flair and professionalism they showed throughout. They were so friendly and accommodating each time we visited or spoke to them before, during and after the wedding. I would seriously recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect beach wedding/ event. Thanks Gianni team! One very happy newly wed!
