Junior's Cafe - Portland

All the scrambles can be made vegan, same with the French toast (I've never tried that). There are two new vegan scrambles too. It seems most everything can be veganized.

Walked by yesterday, Junior’s is open for business.

Used to love this greasy spoon diner. Although they serve meat/eggs/dairy, they had some delicious vegan options. Although their website says they’re open, I went with a friend today and they were closed. No sign of life. The phone has also been disconnected. So, even after being bought by new owners during COVID, it looks as though this classic Portland place has now closed.

We went on a Friday early afternoon and it was not busy. Cute place with a decent vegan tofu scramble. Stephanie was friendly and helpful. I think this place has been around for a really long time but if we hadn't driven past it one day, I wouldn't haveknown. It is on 12th south of Hawthorne and we were lucky enough to get street parking right in front. I can't wait to trysomething else vegan and yummy next time we go!
