Bidrage med feedbackThe coleslaw had horseradish in it, very gross. The mustard was sour and mushy, grainy and pasty the mustard before has been awesome but today it was quite off! Got a bread pudding to go and it was green. Had to call to find out what is was and it was figs. Very nasty bread pudding had to throw it away. The fish and chips were awesome, Bree was really good so was the scotch egg. I would eat here again.Parking: No bike racks.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly until 6.
First time there since before the pandemic. Great service, great atmosphere. Felt like being in England with the burnt fries, greasy fish, etc. Very British. . . if you like that sort of thing.
My British grandfather moved to Portland in the 1970s and absolutely loved this restaurant. He had transformed his basement into a replica of a British pub, complete with horse brasses. Although he has since passed away and the house has been sold, visiting this place brings back memories of my grandparents and their basement pub.
My great grandmother was from England, so it's always nice to have a taste of home in town. We now go to this restaurant to celebrate her, and the staff are amazingly kind. It's a fun place with good people and great food. The prices are reasonable for the large portions and delicious flavors.
First visit to the Horse Brass was great. Walking in the place was very dark, but I like the environment, and all the memorabilia and things to see on the wall. We were warmly greeted by our server, and we seated ourselves. Our wonderful server was very attentive. We enjoyed our food very much. The fish and chips were fantastic. We'll have to go back and try some other food items like their pot pies and sausage rolls. ; )Parking: parking in the backside of restaurant either walking around the building or there is a passage to get to/from the parking lot.
