Grain & Gristle - Portland

I have never been a fan of peas, but the peas in the Eggs Benedict were prepared so well that I actually liked them. The onion and smoked meat pieces in the Smorrebrod were excellent. I enjoyed the bread it came with. The ceviche was incredibly lemony in a delightful way - light and perfect.

I was absolutely blown away by this restaurant. From the outside, it looked like a small place with craft beers and outdoor seating. However, as soon as I walked in, the friendly staff welcomed me and my friend and seated us in a beautiful outdoor area with a fire pit and custom wooden tables. Our waiter, Chris, was incredibly kind, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with oysters and the daily bread, both of which were delicious. The presentation of the board with various accompaniments was impressive and each item had its own unique flavor. The highlight of the meal was the blue cheese burger, which was unlike any burger I had ever tasted. It was truly outstanding. The side salad was also rich in flavor with a variety of fresh ingredients. We ended the night with a bold and refreshing blood orange tequila cocktail. I would give this restaurant a standing ovation if I could. It is a hidden gem in the Portland dining scene that should not be missed. Bring someone special and treat yourselves to an unforgettable dining experience.

If you appreciate fresh, creative dishes... this place is a must! Everything was so delicious, and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Beef Stroganoff was so salty it was inedible. Sent back and got arugala salad that was way ovwerpriced although our server was really nice. Very limited menu. I would not retrun
