China Delight - Portland

The food was high quality but could have used some more salt. The service made up for it though. Very warm and welcoming and they will even make dishes not on the menu if they are able to.

Solidly okay. Food was good but bland, very inoffensive to the palate, which probably caters more toward a wider crowd. Not a lot of spice or strong flavors, but textures and quality were generally good.

Food was excellent.manager/owner really nice and personable. Decor bright and clean. I will be going back.

Really nice Chinese restaurant. Went at lunch on a Saturday, and barely anyone was there. The lunch menu is smaller than what I normally see at a Chinese restaurant and did not come with combos like other places. It did come with a soup though. The food was really good from what we ordered. The waiter was very kind and will likely be back if in the area again. The cashew chicken was awesome. And also the beef chow mein. My mom enjoyed her Mongolian beef. I took my mom here and she is normally a picky eater. She was happy to see Mongolian beef on the menu as it's not a normal thing she said. Since we parked in the back, we used the back door and were confused about where the restaurant was. You first enter into the bar area and then take a right, and you'll be at the restaurant.

OK so multiple things are going into this review. The 3 stars come from the restaurant itself. I walked in the environment was nice and clean everyone was friendly! Food smelled so good. After we started to eat I was disappointed. The pork fried rice was bland and I think it was missing the pork and after mixing it around there was quite a bit of white rice. The lemon chicken didn't have any flavor at all inclung lemon it tasted like plain chicken. The crab puff was all puff and a tiny bit of filling. Better part of the meal altho was different the general tao chicken was good and the egg rolls were the perfect chrunch. I will say this place has beaten the others we have tried so far but I don't believe or would eat here again. I shall continue my search
