Bidrage med feedbackGreat eating, fresh fish and more. and super friendly staff. eating was always fresh and very tasty. being on the beach is just a super extra.
A lovely stylish restaurant on Praia da Rocha beach boardwalk. A family run restaurant, the chef Paulo his sister Elizabete could not do enough to make your meal enjoyable. Both talented in speaking many languages you’re immediately made to feel you’re at home ..in for a treat of a meal. We had as a starter delicious fresh mussels in a tomato onion sauce. The best I’ve ever eaten. Really exceptional. Followed by perfectly grilled steak fish with accompaniments of differing vegetables fries. Excellent. Dessert for my husband was a ‘cookie creme’ which he thoroughly enjoyed. For a very reasonably priced meal, with excellent food, good wine choices, great friendly service a stunning view you cannot get better in Praia da Rocha.
This is one of a few places open, We stopped here a lot, they have comfortable chairs and good drinks, we ate here a few times, the first time was fish and chips and the fish was fishy, and we had greek salad, not like...any Greek salad we had ever seen, a bit of feta cheese with lettuce and 4 tomato slices with shredded carrots on top, another time the omelette was okay , and the hamburger was okay , so then we went back but just for the great drinks and chairs.
So we have had a couple of snack lunches here and a few times just coffee. Is quite difficult getting served and waiting staff seem to concentrate more on the people who are seated in restaurant area. All a bit haphazard with no one resposible...for any particular area just whoever you can attract 1st comes to serve you. While i understand it was busy i dont expect to go and get my own drink and then have to grab 2 glasses off the shelf because i couldnt get any service. Employ more staff when it is busy.
Great location to watch the sun go down. Pleasant helpful owner who recommended a good local red wine. I enjoyed the Algarvian salad and trilogy of local desserts which consisted of fig almond and dates layered as a cake. The ribs came as a generous...portion and choice of potatoes or chips. Would return for the view.
