Bidrage med feedbackI visited on July 31, 2020, and found the experience disappointing. I ordered three drinks, which totaled £19.80. I opted for shandies with lemonade since I was driving, and I mentioned that shandies shouldn't cost more than the cider itself. To my surprise, I was told I was the only one who had ever complained about this. When I asked for a breakdown of the costs, I was informed that half pints were priced the same as full pints, meaning I essentially paid for six drinks instead of three. Having lived in Cornwall my entire life, I feel this pub consistently takes advantage of holidaymakers. I won’t be coming back. While the view is nice, the experience was marred by the focus on profit and my frustration over the pricing. It's such a shame.
The ribs, fish, and chips were outstanding. The staff were very helpful as well. Thank you!
I don’t often visit pubs anymore, but this place is fantastic! It serves great food and has an incredible view of the sea and sunsets. This is the only pub I’ve ever been to that has an old-fashioned playroom, and I could easily spend hours in there. We ordered for a group of seven, and I had the ribeye steak. As someone who eats a lot of steak and smokes my own meat, I can confidently say it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had—cooked to perfection! It was tender, and I could easily compare it to a filet steak. The staff were polite and very helpful. I’ll definitely be returning to this pub. I’ve saved all my 2p coins for my next visit. See you soon!
It may not have been the best day to visit, as it was pouring rain outside. The Tredrea is a large venue, and it was quite chilly inside; it seemed difficult to keep warm. We were seated by windows overlooking the beach, which looked like they could use some maintenance, as the rubber seals were peeling off. The food we ordered came out promptly, and the portions were generous; however, the chips tasted as though they had been reheated or fried in oil that was overdue for a change. It was also off-putting to see staff taking breaks while smoking nearby. The Tredrea is much more enjoyable in the Spring and Summer months when outdoor seating is available. Having visited The Tredrea several times over the years, we felt that it has not maintained the same quality it once had, which is disappointing to share. That's just our perspective.
This is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal and drinks while overlooking the sea. The food is quite expensive and not overly extravagant, but it's perfectly cooked. The staff was always very friendly during our visits. I really love dining outside here.
