Aki Sushi - Port Monmouth

We love this place whenever we get take out the food is always fresh and arrives hot. Their service is very personalized on the phone and upon delivery. Our favorite is the beef lo mein which the beef is always tender and the lo mein is fresh and not loaded up with soy sauce. Egg rolls and dumplings are delicious and we are particular! Hibachi fried rice with shrimp and their sushi is always a winner seafood is very fresh. Egg drop soup is a little too salty for us but we have enjoyed the hot and sour. 5 stars across the board!

In my opinion the best sushi take out around. The food is always awesome. Very fast delivery, and the staff always remembers repeat customers. We order frequently, and they definitely make it known that they remember us. Very Friendly service. Would recommend to anyone.

Definitely the WORST sushi experience I've ever had (and my husband and I go to sushi restaurants regularly). My husband and I decided to get dinner here and when we walked in, the guy at the host stand looked startled as if he hasn't seen a customer in ages. The place looked like it wasn't even open for business it was empty inside, there weren't any seat cushions, and there was no music playing. All we could hear is the echo of our voices and the air conditioning. The host opened the kitchen to ask (I'm assuming) his mom a question and she straight up yelled in his face. Then, he tried to take us to a table but there was a girl with long black hair in the booth and refused to move to let us sit down. She was not only rude to him, but it also made us feel so uncomfortable and not welcome. When we were finally seated, no one came up to us to take our order even after us being seated for 10 minutes. We ended up not ordering anything and walking out because it was just so awkward and unsettling. We will not be giving this place our business in the future. If you want good sushi and exceptional service, I 1000000% recommend going over to Sono Sushi instead.

Aki was closed for a while. I always loved their sushi. The new owners really are impressive, the sashimi and sushi are markedly fresher and more generous, got a few Chinese sides for the kids. Sashimi was excellent, tuna,salmon, yellowtail. Sushi pizza is different than old Aki, more of a scallion pancake than crispy sticky rice, but fantastic, enough for two. Got Chinese apps for the kids, crab rangoon, steamed dumplings, spring rolls. Everything was great. Enough for 8 but fed 4. Great food , great price.

Decent food and sushi but for the Chinese food they give you VERY minimal meat. For beef chow main and beef lo mein they only give you 2 slices of beef. It's happened multiple times when ordering noodle dishes. Sushi is decent for the price but noodle dishes your won't get any meat really
