Poco Loco - Port Macquarie

As soon as we step foot in the restaurant the staff made us feel so welcome .The staff were very quick to offer us drinks no problem ordering food . The meals were huge you will never leave feeling hungry . overall excellent service very well run restaurant .I highly recommend Poco Loco I will return in the near future .

Greeted like old friends and the food was great! Location was convenient to our accommodation, just 200 metres. The food was tasty and atmosphere was warm.

We arrived here in Port Macquarie for the weekend and made a last minute booking. So glad we did! The food was all so fresh and flavoursome. We had prawns, pizza and delicious guacamole. Do yourself a favour and give it a go. Staff were all so friendly too!

I'll start with the positives and say the service was good, the wait staff were really friendly and attentive. The fajita meat and sauce was really good but didn't come on a sizzling plate but in a small pot, it wasn't abundant but it went the distance. The bad, well it is grossly overpriced, you won't see the prices on the online menu and I think that's the reason. Expect to pay upwards of $30 for any main (it's gets up in the $40's) the kids meals were $15 and had under cooked brown rice and an uncooked taco meaning the texture was stale. The shared fajitas option came with super market tortillas, iceberg lettuce, grated carrot, packet grated cheese, jalapeños and quacamole. At $48 I expected a lot more effort put in. If it wasn't for the local resorts and their unsuspecting guests they wouldn't do too well. Do yourself a favour and head over to Luna Bonita, its new, it's fresh, it's reasonably priced and a bit more effort goes into the produce. Otherwise, make it at home, you'll be getting pretty much the same thing.

Had dinner at Poco Loco recently. All items on the menu were far too overpriced. The quality of the food for the price we paid per portion was disappointing. The chimichangas were good. The Mexican prawn entree though, had only 3 prawns along with a salad, for the price charged. Disappointing.
