Bidrage med feedbackWe had a delicious fish and chips dinner, with all dishes well-cooked and beautifully presented. We have decided to visit this restaurant again in the future.
I will not be returning to this restaurant, as it is too expensive. Who would pay $30 for two hamburgers and fries? And there weren't even enough fries to be considered a decent portion. The prices need to be adjusted. The food was tasty and prepared quickly by the chef, but the cost is too high. It's hard to continue supporting a restaurant if they cannot make their prices more reasonable.
I ordered a burger and fries at the restaurant. The food was prepared in a timely manner and the burger was delicious. However, I wish there were more fries on the plate.
Always a pleasant and delightful experience in admiral. I'm sure I'll be back in there!
The Admiral Beverage Room is in a nice spot in the very picturesque area of Port Hood NS. We went as a group of 9 a bit after dinner time. The place was not crowded and the staff seemed to be caught off gaurd that...we showed up. It was also a Friday nite, and we would have thought more people would have been there. Anyway, it is very friendly and the menu is pub style. We ordered 2 plates of Nachos which were just OK. Rather small in size and the chips were not as cripsy as they should have been. Our main meals were disappointing. I had Fish Chips and how could I go wrong ordering this in Cape Breton? The fish wasn't good and the fries were worse. They knew we were a big crowd and they could have been sure some of us were going to have fries, so they should have put on new ones as we arrived. Nothing worse than eating reheated fries. The fish was like it had been pan-fried and then dropped into the fryer. It was very dried out. Others had a range of food from Chicken burgers to Club sandwiches. It was just OK. While the service was decent, when other people arrived she seemed to get behind. It was clear that there were only one server and one cook, strange for a Friday nite. It certainly wasn't the worst place and on another visit, it may have been better. But this time they were not as good as it could have been. Worth the trip just to see the area.
