Bidrage med feedbackI was drawn to this restaurant by reviews mentioning their buffalo fish. I had not tasted buffalo fish since childhood and was excited to try it again. Due to Covid, they were only offering take-out service. We placed our order at the window with a friendly lady, who informed us that the portions were quite large. We decided to order one serving of the fried boneless buffalo fish and a few side dishes. You can also order it with the bone in. The meal, which was more than enough for both of us, cost only $11. Everything was delicious! The fish was perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and tender, moist interior, and not at all greasy. The potato salad was also very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I had never heard of Buffalo fish until I visited 61 Fish Market and Restaurant in Port Gibson, Mississippi. Located at 1113 Highway 61 in a town known for its beauty, this Fish Market offers fresh and delicious catfish, Buffalo and pantrout with a variety of tasty sides. The smallmouth Buffalo is a popular freshwater fish in the United States, commonly caught in the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers. It is highly valued by commercial fishermen for its meat, which is white, flakey, and similar in taste to grouper, Chilean sea bass, Branzino, whitefish, and mahi-mahi. Personally, I preferred Buffalo over catfish and consider it a delightful discovery in my culinary experiences.
