Lime Tequila - Port Charlotte

My husband and i went to Lime tequila last night for dinner. We have been there several times before. It was Saturday night at prime time and was told 30 minutes wait. We got a table within 15 minutes.. they sit a giant basket of warm chips and a bowl of salsa on your table asap. We don’t drink alcohol so i ordered a grapefruit Mexican soda. Love it. Hubs said sweet tea was not great but he us a sweet tea expert. I have had the table side guacamole before when others are with us but skipped it this time as i would be the only one eating it. I ordered the chicken enchiladas suiza. Wow what a portion! The green sauce has a nice tart bite. Hubs wanted a beef burrito. He couldn’t finish all of it. I so wanted dessert but my belly was poking out. This place is where locals go for Mexican. Side note, we were offered the table by the kitchen door (were could have waited for s different table). I kind of enjoyed watching the waiters stack 7 hot platters of food up the gloved arms. They were all singing Spanish language songs in the kitchen. It was lively and a real treat. Btw the kitchen looked super clean. If you like talavera pottery like i do then visit the restrooms.

Always friendly service, great food and drinks. We try to avoid the busy time at dinner as there is always a line, and serving time slows down.

The food was delicious!! The server forgot about us for the most part. I did want to order another beverage but waited too long for her return. Would have ordered desert to go, but she didn't ask, just brought the check.

Ordered Takeout, got a Carne Asada taco that had more air and lettuce than meat. Ordered “Burrito Real” on the menu it’s explained as a burrito of your choice covered in cheese. Doesn’t mention that it’s a quarter of a burrito with only meat in it. The only good thing that we ordered was the Chimichanga. For the price and portions, will not go back here. Highly don’t recommend this place. You can eat at chipotle for the same price and get way more. Also when I walked in to the restaurant I told them my name and and my order. The woman laughed at me and nobody greeted me. Poor restaurant.

Perfect lunch spot, they have a lunch menu that is very accommodating for both taste and price. We both ordered the Speedy Gonzales . I had soft taco with shredded beef and an enchilada with shredded chicken. Hubby did the same but reversed proteins. I highly recommend this clean, good service restaurant!Kid-friendliness: Easily a kid friendly place they have kids men items.
