Mountain View Bakery & Deli

This bakery has a charming, nostalgic feel. While it may not be upscale, the bread, cookies, and other baked treats have a homemade taste and are delicious. The deli offers a nice variety of sandwiches, salads, and samosas. I frequently stop by for a quick bite before heading to Ucluelet or just to grab a coffee. The service is welcoming and efficient.

Mountain View in Port Alberni offers the best donuts in town. They specialize in yeast donuts, available for $1 each with a choice of sugar glaze or frosting. In addition to donuts, they offer a variety of baked goods such as apple fritters, cinnamon buns, and fresh bread. The cafe also serves lunch and has a friendly staff. The only downside is that they are not open seven days a week.

We made a quick stop for a snack on our way to Tofino and were extremely satisfied! We tried a donut and a pepperoni stick, both of which were delicious. The sausage had a wonderful smoky flavor and the donut was one of the best I've ever had - not overly sweet but perfectly moist. We were so impressed that we returned a few days later for an apple pie, which was also outstanding. The apples were perfectly crisp and full of flavor, and the crust was exceptional. Paired with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it made for a perfect dessert. My friend and I will definitely be stopping by this restaurant whenever we are in the area.

Always thought of stopping here and getting a soup and sandwich so stopping recently turned out to be a great idea. Thick sandwiches with hearty soup makes a good meal and it's a very popular spot.

Bakery is quality in-house made sweets and bread. The deli side is a whole lot of prefab stuff you can find anywhere.
