The lunchtime "menu du Jour" sounded simple but plain - assette de crevettes, loin de porc with Noirmoutier potatoes and dessert. The meal was anything but simple - 8 or 9 enormous meaty prawns with and excellent mixed salad and a pot of mustard mayonnaise followed by, probably, half a pork loin in the most delicious sauce with a wire basket of beautifully fried potato cubes. The desert was delicious too.At 12 Euro 50, not the cheapest meal of the 3 week holiday but certainly the best and the best value. Half a litre of decent red wine for 8 Euro wasn't bad either.
We found this place on our last night on holiday and wished we had discovered it earlier.on entering we were shown out the back which quickly filled up and had a lovely atmosphere. The set menu was great value with good portions and excellent quality-and the house white was tasty too!All in all,a really good restaurant with pleasant service, wish we could go back!
Went for modules and frites but none so elected for smoked salmon pizza. Nicest pizza in a long while with asparagus and so much smoked salmon, once I had eaten it, I couldn't manage all of the base. House wine at €2.50 per glass was also very good. Highly recommended.
This little restaurant is behind the main harbour strip, unpretentious but welcoming. We're here in the off season, the clientele are mainly French locals. Our pizzas were very good thin crust pizzas, Neapolitan for my spouse ( real whole anchovies) and orientale for me (lots of chorizo and pepperoni). We ordered a bottle of cidre brut which is not on the menu but produced on request. Service is excellent. Judging from neighbouring tables with moules et frites, portions are large. We always love a good pizza so we were quite happy.
