Bidrage med feedbackWe ordered a Ceviche Mixto and Aroz con marisco and it was all disappointing. Both dishes lacked taste as I believe their products were not fresh. The keviche had more onion than fish and to tell the truth it shouldn't be called keviche... it had no taste! We were disappointed as all reviews about this place were fantastic.
Excellent lunch. We had the Cerviche Misto and Lomo Saltaldo. My husband is Peruvian and he gave him his stamp of approval!
We went to this restaurant four time during our visit and was never disappointed. The quality and preparation far exceeded our expectation. The grilled octopus (pulpo) appetizer is fantastic and so well prepared. The steak was prepared rare upon my request and to my surprise, was not over cooked. The quality of the meat was outstanding! Their menu has lots of options but not overwhelming like some of the more touristy restaurants that have 200 items. The Ceviche Mixto was also amazing. You cannot do better in Popayán and if this restaurant was near me in the U.S., I would continue to eat there often. It is a short can ride outside of the main town area, maybe 10 minutes maximum, if that. Again, so very worth it. Best of all, the prices are so reasonable. They are not inflated like they are in town. Four of us ate there, with appetizers, entrees and two bottles of wine for about $75 USD. It was a lot of food!
Absolutely delicious the entradas of seabass cerviché and blue beef was incredible! I also had the house special of the ribs which were so tender, just fell off the bone! The pisco sours were also delicious! It is bit more expensive 120000 pesos for two starters, two mains, two pisco sours, coffee and tip.
I had the opportunity to Visit the restaurant few weeks ago during our short stay in Popayan, I went with my family and what a good Choice. The original taste of its food served in this cosy and pleasant environment, plus the large selection of traditional South American dishes, with a modern touch. The warm attention from the owners and high standard of customer service definitely make you feel like if you were eating at home but with the splendour of the Peruvian cuisine. We strongly recommend it and for sure will come back! Ha, and please do not forget to order a pisco sour by the end of your meal ; Louie B
