Frankie Benny's New York Italian Restaurant Bar

I visited this restaurant on a Thursday around 5 PM. Despite not having made an online reservation and the restaurant operating at reduced capacity due to the virus, they were happy to accommodate us. The service was quick and friendly, our drinks arrived promptly, followed shortly by our food. The quality of the food was excellent - tasty, hot, and well presented. The portion sizes seemed generous. The four main courses we ordered - ribs, meatballs, prawn pasta, and chicken carbonara - were all delicious. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

My husband and I visited the restaurant today at 5pm and were seated promptly since it wasn't busy. However, we had to wait 10 minutes to place our order for two coffees and two waffles. It took 20 minutes for the coffee to arrive and another 35 minutes for the waffles. Despite the coffee being okay, the waffles were cold and extremely chewy. The dish consisted of three pieces of waffle, half a scoop of ice cream in a small bowl that only covered one section of waffle, and a small jug of syrup. We were truly disappointed with the quality of the food and felt like we should have lodged a complaint as we were unhappy with what we paid for. While waiting, I observed the chef slamming a plate down and leaving the order slip on top of the food for 8 minutes before a waitress took it away. We have visited Frankie and Benny's many times in the past and have always been satisfied, but this time we were very disappointed.

We arrived at about 3 pm, it was very quiet, but every table was dirty and had not been cleared. The service was very slow. The staff were chatting to each other and not working. Good job the food was good and our waitress was good. It'll be a very long time before we go there again.

Thank you so much to Tom and the team at Frankie and Bennys in Poole for making my daughter’s 10th birthday so special. She came for a meal with a group of friends last weekend and they all had a great time. The staff were so helpful, the food was lovely and Tom couldn’t do enough for them. Thank you so much, we will definitely return!

We went to Tower Park yesterday and stopped by Frankie and Benny’s after a film. We were served by Tom and was honestly some of the best customer service we had ever had, made the evening!
