We went today at lunchtime,managed to get a table,then waited half an hour to get a drink and order food,then waited another half an hour for one dish to be served,then yet another half an hour before my partner's dish arrived,my coke was not zero,and my partner did not get his coffee,which they tried to charge for.They only had one waiter serving at least a dozen tables,not his fault,they need more staff.Overall,not a good experience

My husband and I went to Bar Umia based on the recommendation of our apartment host. The seafood is indeed hearty and generous in terms of portion size authentic and local. Although I personally did not think much of the cuttlefish in squid ink, it’s a popular dish amongst the locals worth trying. Recommended as a humble and unassuming locale for local seafood fare.

Great seafood dinner at a very reasonable price. The portions were big we over ordered but it was all so delicious we managed to eat it all!

We were kicked away with a hungry 9 month old baby and a 4 year old child as their service and control of guests was terrible. This was not the first time we had eaten there but will be our last! We had returned this time as we usually enjoy the location, the price and the food selection. But this time the service killed and shattered our opinion of the place. We arrived and as usual there were no tables available, we asked another couple if they were waiting also. There was only 1 girl managing the whole terrace by herself and didn't once bother to ask us or inform us about tables so we waited our turn for a table outside. The other couple eventually got seated and more people arrived and also waited. We were standing for half an hour with our two children, one a 9 month Old baby. When the next table left we sat down but were then informed we were not allowed the table as we had not gone inside to say we were in the queue and the table was not ours and there were more people in front of us. We left in anger as they did not offer a smooth resolution or an apology to rectify the situation. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. It may be cheap and busy the terrible slow service is not worth it!
