We have the only vegan option available (hamburger da horta) and it was delicious. came with fries that were really good. we did not eat the dipping sauce / dressing as it seemed to be made with mayo and there was honey in it. overall very good and the price was good. updated by previous review on 2020-02-06

Despite the title, I enjoyed a delicious veggie burger. My partner rated his meat burger and the house rose and coffee was excellent. Great location by the beautiful river. Staff were helpful and friendly. They spoke English which helped as our Portuguese was very limited. The cafe supports the local prison with the aprons, furniture and decorations made by the inmates. A wonderful idea.

Amazing food, the boards are a great size, the medium one easily did 2 of us to share. We followed up by sharing a burger which was fantastic and then had a pudding each. Would also recommend the red wine served by the glass. Absolutely brilliant atmosphere and service both inside and out. 10/10 we loved it here.

I came hungry there, but the only one had a dish that the nice waiter suggested that I take it and they can make it vegan for me. There were 2 slices of toast (small), made for me with avocado instead of cheese and cut thinly with fried vegetables. It was good, but it's better than anything else. In a lot of meat on the display even for me it was too much

I asked (in Portuguese) whether they had a vegan burger, and the staff said that their veggie burger is vegetarian, but not vegan, as the bungalow contains milk. They could not offer any other vegan options, apart from a simple salad, and they did not seem very friendly or very interested in serving us. Luckily around the corner at Maria Rosa from Cantinho Mini Meu we found a lot of friendly staff and some great vegan options, including pancakes, roasted sandwiches, and bagels with vegan cheese. You close at 7:00, so go early if you want to eat.
