A point of reference in the Pompeian bakery for a lifetime...

Dropped by in search of good fresh bread that wasn't overpriced for tourists and found this gem! They offer very casual and traditional varieties of bread (from wood fire roasted to multi grain and other flours) as well as some specialty pastries and cakes (baba cake and torrone). They are all very well priced (paid €1.20 for a whole giant loaf of wood fire oven-baked bread) and they are very kind and helpful even in broken Italian. If you love breads and pastries and want something less touristy, this is it.

The aroma of fresh bread as walk in very satisfactory. Large selection of breads. Only 1 vegetarian choice. Quality pleasant but nothing exceptional. Staff friendly.

I am staying in a hotel near the shop. It's easy to find because of its location, signage and small car in front. They have a large selection of pastries.
