Masala Bay Grill, Indian Cuisine, Outer Banks

My friend and I went to this place on the way to Jockey's Ridge, and it was surprisingly good food!! We eat Indian food, so we decided to try. Would definitely come again!

This place is fantastic. The food was so good. I was in many Indian restaurants including in India and this one up here. Great portions, very nice staff and beautiful bay views. Very recommended.

Great views of the bay, very special Indian food.. Flavorful and yet not at all spicy.. ShyamSavera Kofta was my favorite!

The food was worth my 40 miles drive. My shrimp was EXCELLENT and more than I could eat in one place. I took off a star for our waitress. She was attentive enough but rude to staff and a customer on the phone trying to make a reservation for a big party (30). She said about and about we cannot make a reservation for these many people. Then she said, give me your information, I need to call you back, I'm busy. We were the only people in the dining room and there were maybe 3 tables on the deck with people. On the phone call that took place in the dining room, she was completely rude. If I had been the person who wanted to make the reservation, I would have hung up. The 4 of us needed more rice and heard their screams at the kitchen person that 's enough if they want more they can ask. I asked for a container to go and mix my rice with the corma. When she brought the container, she made a curt note about me to mix rice, and now she needed a larger container. We ordered two orders from Naan to go. I told her they were separate orders and she made a comment that they need to know. I realized she had to know, but the way she noticed was improper. I don't know if she's owner or employee, but she was inappropriate in her tone. Fortunately, the excellent food outweighed her attitude, but her attitude influenced our experience. One of the people in our party commented every time he goes, it is not so sure whether it is the owner or not. We'll finally get some food from here, but next time we'll order it. When I pay, I want a pleasant culinary experience, not attitude. As I write, I enjoy my rests. Yum!
