John is the most amazing waiting staff I've ever had the privilege to meet. He is passionate,excited about the product he sells and quite clearly loves his job. Tanner brothers you did well employing this guy. 5 stars all the way
Came here on Saturday night as a table of four. The food lacked flavour. I appreciate the restaurant was busy but this has never stopped me enjoying the food in previous visits. The mains arrived before the starter plates had been removed, the food, especially the cauliflower soup, was bland and lacked seasoning. My Husband left most of his calves liver which in previous visits he had really enjoyed. Such a shame to write this as it’s a family favourite go to restaurant
Lovely environment and food.we booked for our special dinner and it didn't disappoint. Food wine and service was the best. Always very polite. The pork main was perfect.
We visited on a Tuesday evening prior to our ferry crossing the next day. The last time for reservations is 9pm. we arrived at 8.45pm and the waitress had to check with the chef if they were still serving. So, off to a poor start, but all approved by the chef, we were seated. I opted for the fish and chips, and my husband had the pork plate (medalions and pork belly). Both were delicious and good portion sizes. Would definitely visit again if in the area.
A great restaurant with high quality food and good service. A small menu which appears to be quite ordinary, however, the food is cooked perfectly with high quality ingredients. A very pleasant setting which made for a relaxing meal. The staff are pleasant and provide very good service. A place we will return to.
