La Sorgente - PLESIO

Stayed here in July for 3 nights and grew to love it! Firstly it's location is up the mountain from managgio so you are far enough away from the crowds of the lake, that does mean however it's a little hard to get to if you don't have your own transport. Secondly this is a traditional Italian feeling family run business and as such the staff try very hard and are attentive and I have to say made us feel very welcome and appreciated. The decor is a little dated but you could argue that is part of its charm and obviously that is reflected in the price but for me the hotel was perfect for our stay, the hotel and village were full of character and charm and the views over the lake were magnificent. I also feel I need to recommend the restaurant, superb and obviously cost a lot less than the ones on the lake shore. Hopefully I'll get to go back one day!

My wife and I are in Plesio/Menaggio several weeks per year. Great place to stop for a drink. Wonderful views of the lake. Friendly staff. Plesio is a 10 minute drive from menaggio. I have only had pizza here, but it is great.

We stayed nearby to La Sorgente and had dinner here on our first night delicious pizza for a very reasonable price. We came back twice more for lunch and breakfast on our last morning the staff put on an amazing spread including meat, cheese, fresh bread and pastries for just 8 euros per person. Coffee also very good! I highly recommend sitting outside as there is a beautiful view over the lake. Definitely eat here if you are staying in the area the staff were great and very accommodating of dietary requirements!

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Vista panoramica su lago di Como. Carino e tranquillo il borgo di Plesio a pochi km da Menaggio. Lo consiglio per una vacanza tranquilla.
