Bidrage med feedbackThe only downside to getting your food there is the hours, or lack of them, one can get served. Not only is it only open when the small-town grocery store is, after around 5 pm on weekdays Saturday (earlier on Sunday) it's just cold storage self-serve, meaning what they still had cooked at quitting time got packaged up, priced, and stuck in the nearby coolers next to the prepackaged coleslaw and such. That means your luck is all that controls what's available from them after their business hours. Maybe some potato wedges, maybe some chicken strips or popcorn chicken. If you're lucky, that's what you wanted. If you wanted their tasty catfish fillets, instead... well, you're usually totally out of luck. ?If you're there during open hours, though, definitely stop by while shopping and get some of their yummy food. ?
I love the fried chicken, the variety of creative foods the cooks make, snd the themed days. The chicken is always juicy and tender. The fried mushrooms and crispitos are to die for! It's better to come earlier in the day to get the freshest stuff, but you can get a tasty meal right up until they close at 4
It's from a deli not a restaurant, which is fine. They changed their recipe a while back...I like the old one better.
Champs hasn't been done here for the last 6 months. They have Chester now.
It is an affordable, convenient choice. They are located in the grocery store, which lets you grab lunch when you pick up groceries. Wheelchair accessibility: The grocery store is wheelchair accessible and the staff are good about helping make things as easy as possible.
