El e Belmond Maroma Resort Spa

Elegant colonial resort surrounded by beautiful jungle and facing one of the most beautiful beaches in the region. I live in Playa del Carmen and most of the resorts are all inclusive. It is a gem to have this beautiful hotel open for non residents. The food is beautifully presented, the view is fantastic, they have great cocktails and the staff is very pleasant and professional. It is a little bit pricey as expected for the setting. Worth a visit.

My husband and I had a confirmed open table reservation for nye. A round trip in a taxi was 75usd. We got to the gate and they wouldn’t honor our reservation. In fact they wouldn’t even let us in the gate. We ended up getting to our hotel too late to eat a restaurant and ate snacks for or nye meal. Terrible

I love this restaurant in my favorite group of hotels, Belmond. W keep coming back every time we are in the Cancun area. The setting is perfect, it feels like the time has stopped. Really wonderful. Very good chef an nice food. Truly enjoyable. Service could be better I do not know what happened this time but we had to pour our own water and wine, move plates that we did not need any more, timing was not so good. A bit disappointing we are not perfectionists but this was a decline from the last time we visited to the point that we really noticed. We will be back and we hope that this was just one off time when this happened.

We spent 4 nights at the Belmond and had all of our meals there. The food is phenomenal and the staff is even better. Thank you to Fernando, Moses, and Lavia for making our entire trip very memorable.

There were two options for dinner, a la carte or their seafood and beef buffet. We waited awhile until the manager came over and said our waiter would be right with us. We waited and waited and finally had to ask the manager to come back to take our order. Only two of us had napkins and when we told the hostess she only brought 1 then we said we needed 2. The wine we choice was not available so had to choose another. The food was ok.
