Asadero el Pollo - Playa del Carmen

There are only two options to order from: a whole huh or a half hunch. but this is all you need and they bring it to you in less than 2 minutes, because they keep cooking the chickens over the biggest grill you've ever seen. in your life. they get a huge buck tortillas or a plate tears with it. whatever you want. all for $5 for half-when or $8 for all. one of the best meals and offers you can in playa del carmen. I lived in playa del carmen for 5 months last year and ate here several times per week. I just came for a short trip to pdc and was one of the first places I went.

The chicken served here is top notch. You get tortillas and pickled onions with your order. The chicken is moist grilled to perfection. One of my go-to restaurants, every time we're in PDC. Haven't found chicken back home that tastes better than Asadero El...Pollo.

We visited this place in search of good and unexpensive food and were just overwhelmed by how great this place was. The portions (half a chicken or the whole bird for 90/140$ respectively) were giant and with onion, salsa and rice for free. No wonder...the locals eat here as they simply know better. Just be warned that the joint closes at 6pm. Let the feast begin!!!

So economical dare I say down right cheap for an American. They now have a baked potato w/ crema it makes the meal COMPLETE so good! And 1 potato is definitely enough for 2 maybe even 3 people. And it’s not good because it’s cheap...it’s good because the food is genuinely delicious.

Every time we have been in Playa we stop here at least once for a wonderful meal. Very tasty grilled chicken. You get a whole chicken with all the fixin's for less than $7USD. Pickled onions, flavored rice, salsa and tortillas. If you haven't been...here get your butt in here you don't know what your missing!
