Owl Cafe - Platteville

Nice, clean, friendly dinner. Had the ham cheese Omelett with one side hashbrowns. The portions are pretty decent here. When I was there, it was 15 minutes before the cook graciously opened the door left me early. Enjoy the local atmosphere the bathroom was clean inviting like the diner itself. Good experience worth checking out for a morning meal.

Best breakfast in the universe. My friends and I came just before they stopped switching to a lunch menu. You made our breakfast perfect.

Best sit down I found in Platteville area, not many decisions since COVID19, but this survived. When it is packed, there can be a good waiting time, only 2 people lead it, food is plentiful and hot, coffee does not go empty. Had Western Omelet and Hashbrowns, photo added.

Looking for a bite near the city center, and passing the Owl Cafe. It was pretty busy with older people as a college-aged, so I thought it had to be okay. Limited menu, but everything looked good. I had a burger and waffle to drink with water (cost less than a fast food). The food was great, cooked with the burger exactly as I would make it home (fresh beef, beautiful lakes, definitely no food service patty). The owners were super friendly, even if some of the locals looked at me like I was the first outsider to come here for a while... I enjoyed hearing fish stories and the little town of Chit Chat I grew up with. I'm back.

Large portions, great food, wonderful atmosphere, only downside is limited seating and the place gets packed!
