Genghis Grill - Plano

So amazingly awesome!!!I called and asked if their store had any 3G sauce.. that the McKinney location didn't have any, that they ran out and that I needed some for our meal. The man said yes, no worries, that he would take care of us, asked how much was needed, that he would have it ready for me when I got there, and that his name was Cody, the manager, just to ask for him. I arrived 12 minutes later 8:45 (they close at 9). Get this... he didn't have a container for the sauce, so he went next door to Jason's Deli, introduced himself to their manager and thry kindly gave him a container for the sauce ? Talk about going above beyond!!! There were still customers in his establishment and so I asked him if his wok was still hit and if he happened to have any cauliflower rice? He said, let me check, then replied yes and asked how many servings I would like. I replied 2 1/2. His amazing cook whipped it up in about 5 minutes. I asked him how much I owed him for everything and he said, nothing!!! WOW!!! What??? Seriously??? YES seriously. He said, all I ask is that you come back and give us a try. ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY!!! He literally just saved a $52 meal purchased from the McKinney location from being a total waste!! You bet I'm coming back, and telling everyone about it!!! ? ???

My husband and I really enjoyed eating at Genghis Grill in Plano, TX. I love to fill my plate with my favorite proteins and and vegetables. The service was good. I actually order the small plate and it was very filling.

Came for dinner. Got a med. Bowl with fried rice. Added steak, veggies and sauce. What came out was awful. Steak over cooked, rubbery, hard zero flavor rice burnt, and what they call Garlic tastes NOTHING like garlic. Spent $20 on food I would feel bad giving my dog.

The food is still good and one of the best healthy choices around. But Genghis has really let their restaurants deteriorate. And the windows were so tinted that we thought they were out of business. There was only one server working (a Tuesday night) but she was delightful and she checked on us constantly and we got our drinks, food and check promptly.

One of the worst experiences I have had at a Genghis Grill. 2 stars only because the food was fairly fresh. I was seated right away but waited awhile for a server to come take my order while other customers were seated, served drinks, and orders taken before anyone came to my table. My drink was served from over the counter behind me with no ice and my waitress was so inattentive that I had to ask other waitresses for condiments and eventually my check. Will not be coming back.
