Bidrage med feedbackI do not understand all the rave reviews. The service was awful, the food mediocre. we were put on a table and ignored, finally the waiter brought the menu, and went away. When he came back later he asked were we ready to order and we said yes, but we hadn't ordered any apero/drinks yet. He gave us the drinks menu and disappeared again. We had been there at least an hour when the waitress gave us the horrible chef's speciality, a giant brawn, couldn't touch that, which was without any drinks, we told her we hadn't had any yet. She took our order. We waited again. When she came back she took our food order. We waited again. Not much choice on the menu, rabbit or monkfish. Am never going to eat rabbit. I had what was basically a chevre salad, small lumps of cheese and golfball size blob of tapenade, far too much lettuce to bulk it out. I even had to request salt and pepper. Meanwhile people all round us were being served, it is inadmissable that people who come in after get served before. Sign of a bad restaurant. Even the dog which came in with its owners after us got its bowl of water long before we'd even had a drink. We were there 4 hours. I'd have walked out if we hadn't been with friends. The waitress was slovenly, the young waiter didn't know what he was doing. Won't go back there, AND we paid the princely sum of 93 euros per couple for the privilege of being ignored. Oh...and they don't take credit cards. And, sitting outside you are surrounded by smokers.
A great restaurant with a lot of french specialitys. You are situated in the middle of the nature and have some really good dishes and it just was so enjoyable. Also the waiter was fast and effective.
We have been there for the fifth time in the last 10 years. Once again a great time enjoying best food on a lovely place. Had a young waitress serving us, great patience because we don’t speak French. Food fits the price more than enough
This restaurant at Plaisians in the Drome Provencal (not the Auvergne) is not what you might expect is such a rural location. Even the sign boards directing you to it have to say you are nearly there ! While it is a longish drive, the popularity with locals is a very good guide to its quality and reputation. We have been twice the first time for lunch when we were outside on the terrace looking up to Mt Ventoux and the second for dinner when we were inside due to the temperature. The food was very good on both occasions (beware the free tete de veau which comes first. It is excellent but the temptation to eat too much of it may spoil your meal. Inside, it can be very noisy, particularly when you have local celebrating groups and this rather spoiled our dinner event as we could not have any sensible conversation. Better to go when you can eat outside or check what other bookings there are before eating inside. Because of the distance, it is also probably better to book in advance.
Super the meal was excellent, the wonderful view, and the young waitress upstairs, full of service, funny and she managed to make me taste the cacha that will remain in my memory
