Taphouse - Plainfield

Tap House Grill is one of my favorite spots in Plainfield. We started our meal off with the soft pretzel sticks and they set the tone for a fantastic experience. The pretzels were served with a cheese sauce, as well as a honey mustard sauce. Honey mustard is my personal vice, so I enjoyed that sauce a bit more of the two. As for my meal, I ordered the Crispy Beer-Battered Chicken Melt. Apparently I don't know how to read because I was genuinely shocked to see two massive chicken breasts on the bun. It was delicious, although huge. For my side, I ordered tater tots, which were also delicious. They were perfectly crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Overall, this was a fantastic meal and I look forward to returning!

So sad to write a review here for 1 star. I would give zero if I could. We came last week for dinner and we got sat right away on the patio. Excited to be here because the weather was perfect and we already knew the food is amazing. We waited while other tables got sat around us, waitresses walked by and not one stopped at our table. Finally a girl came out and looked at us so we thought she was going to come to our table, nope, she went to the table 2 down from us that was sat after us. By then it had been about 30mins and we didn't even have waters. We were so disappointed and fed up that we left. On the way out we did talk to the manager and he gave us a certificate for next time. Just highly disappointed and hope the staff does better at realizing who has been sat and when.

Amazing mother's day brunch. Freshly made quality food. 2 seafood salads, huge peal and eat shrimp, a monster of a salmon that you could take a chuck out of with tons. I thought that was cool. Breakfast items like eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, Belgium waffles along with chicken marsala, prime rib, ham, and a crab florentine with real crab. Not imitation. Also had a cute little dessert table. I really wish they'd have brunch like that more often. It was so good. Our server was great, very helpful and attentive. Taphouse has really turned around from what it used to be. Upgraded decor and quality food. I'll be returning more often especially in the summer to sit outside. This place needs to get a higher review rating. It is sad there are so many from the past still on here. It's not the same place anymore. It is much better.

Went for a trivia night. The host was great, the tvs had multiple games going, the food was play for me. Could have used a little more flavor on the sliders without having to dip it in the juice that came with it. But overall good experience.

Love the remodel- it's totally different inside and looks great! My friend I went for lunch on Sunday 12/4/22. My Island burger was good although overcooked. I love their ranch dressing which I had on my side salad. She enjoyed her wrap and alcoholic drink. I would definitely go back but probably order someone other than a burger.
