Charming place in great localization. Great menu it's original and still typical in flavours for this region of Italy. Nice staff, you can feel both a warm home atmosphere and that's everything on the point. Prices a little bit higher than in nearby restaurants but not high enough for this level of food.
I was here for dinner in summer. The experience was fine, but not excellent. Nice atmosphere. Pastas are clearly primi, not a main dish. The taste was good, although a bit salty. The deep fried bread was a great appetizer (very filling). Service was fast and friendly. Couvert of 2,50 pp is a bit much though. Vegetarian options are limited.
This place was great! The food was different (that’s why we chose it in passing). We had the creme brûlée starter yes a starter! It had Roquefort and pistachios in it. The staff were amazing. Polite and enthusiastic. They even gave us the recipe for the creme brûlée starter. The restaurant itself is slightly off the main thoroughfare which gave it a quieter ambience which we prefer. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who would want something Tuscan but different.
I don’t normally “do” reviews but having seen the recent low scores by supposed “local guides” I felt that something wasn’t right and so here we are. As a very regular visitor to Italy I can safely say that this is a great little restaurant with superb traditional local dishes and excellent house wine. The staff are very attentive and patient. If you want spaghetti bolognese, a pint of Peroni and garlic bread this isn’t for you, but if you want to sample something more Tuscan then don’t hesitate. Yes the menu is limited, but this reflects speciality and focus. Our visit tonight a Monday in mid September saw a full house outside and some inside seats taken with a mixture of tourists and locals on first name terms with staff.
