Bidrage med feedbackA real disappointment. The setting is fantastic and we were staying at the resort anyway. We had breakfast here every morning and that was ok. The dinner was a different story. Our daughter had the ‘pasta buffet’ 2 plates of very ordinary luke warm pasta, my wife had the cod ravioli 5 tiny ravioli!, I chose the wild boar ragu, one of my favourite Tuscan dishes normally. It was dreadful. One side of the plate was completely cold. The ragu was dry and flavourless and I was sent convinced it was even boar. But the icing on the cake was the wait between our antipasta starter and the main course after an HOUR AND TWENTY minutes we complained and were told simply “yes, it’s coming”. Not ‘sorry’!! No apology at all. Everyone around us was seated after us and had eaten and left. We complained to the manager who again didn’t say sorry but explained that they were ‘very busy because of the special pasta buffet menu’. The deserts weren’t much better. On the whole this must be the worst meal we’ve had in Italy out of hundreds. For the record my wife’s dad was an Italian chef and restaurateur. I shudder to think what he’d have made of it. Food was poor, service even worse, no apology and expensive menu. The other local restaurants are good. This place needs to seriously up its game or the resort will lose paying guests.
We found the setting and the service fair but the food was not worth the money. The presentation was ordinary and the meat tough. We chose tiramisu for dessert but it was only two sponge fingers with a little topping.
This restaurant, which is on the grounds of Borgo Colleoli Resort serves excellent food that is unique and delicious. After eating here 3 times, our family was quite pleased with every dish we’ve tried. However, as good as the food is, the service is equally impressive. Although the entire staff works hard and is quite wonderful, the star is Sarah. She is one of the most efficient and pleasant waitresses I have ever encountered. She always has a smile, well you can tell she’s smiling under her masks by her eyes. She will make sure any special requests are met as well as insure all your courses are served perfectly as you have requested. She handles multiple tables with ease and never has to write anything down. If you owned a restaurant you would want her to teach your staff on how to provide the best customer service.
Lovely restaurant. Fine dining.incredible cuisine from a talented chef. Outstanding eggplant parmesan. Great desserts.
The food service at this restaurant are first class. Staying at the resort, we have eaten here a couple of times and both times left completely satisfied. The selection of meals is extensive catering for all.
