Bidrage med feedbackFinally the overdue trip to the Moselle. And as the weather forecast for Saturday was better than for Sundays, the Saturday work started at home. We went to lunch. We wanted to enjoy the afternoon at the Mosel, for the evening I had reserved a table by phone. We deliberately drove a small way to enjoy the rest of the ride along the Moselle. From Mülheim we drove upstream, only a few years ago we drove the opposite direction of Trier downstream. So it was time to explore this Moselland. At the later noon we met in Piesport and found it very warmer here than in Idar Oberstein. On the other hand, weaknesses made clear: Until dinner we need a little bribe! The ostrich economy of the Kirsten winery looked inviting. A small matching menu hung out. In front of the house is the beautiful outdoor terrace. Here we were greeted personally by the winemaker Heinz Kirsten and were allowed to choose among the free tables. We quickly found our beautiful place. The winemaker can save himself the tensioning of parasols. A great old Linde was the natural and perfect shade dispenser. Beautiful flower pots frame the wine garden. The lovingly designed ... next time take a room and no longer drive! Map was handed. We ordered a bottle of mineral water, 0.75 l – fair € 3.60. Another bottle followed. For me a glass of 2020 Piesporter Gold Pot, Riesling dry, layered wine, 0.2 l € 4.70. The well-cooled drinks were quickly served by the friendly winemaker. Our ordered food was not allowed to wait too long. Chef Ms. Kirsten served personally. For my husband roasted potatoes with fried eggs (on request fried on both sides) € 6.90. A beautiful and well seasoned portion of roast potatoes. Röstaromen had also seen the potatoes. Potatoes lacked some crispy. The mirror eggs were fried exactly after Gusto my husband. A small tomato set. For me, Chef Salat Heinz with cooked egg, tuna and onions € 8.00. No problem was to make a lactose-free vinegar oil dressing for me. Iceberg salad with egg and tuna An attractive portion was served in the deep plate. Unfortunately, Chef Heinz likes Eisbergsalat. I have not processed this in the last 30 years. As our retired and esteemed GastroGuideKollege Wastel says: “frozen water”. I can only agree as a salad lover. For a bouquet, of course, a durable and easy to clean salad. He was crunchy and impeccable. And certainly the homemade cream dressing would have helped the missing taste on the jumps. The vinegar oil dressing was good and made extra for me. In the future, I'm going to introduce a lactase tablet more often. Rich tuna brought flavor to the salad and very well I liked the very finely chopped egg to the salad. The tomato garnish actually brought tomato flavour and the baguette slices were freshly cut. The spouses of Kirsten were very friendly and attentive to the guests. The demand that everything tasted was not missing. Also empty glasses were immediately noticed. During the afternoon the beautiful outdoor area filled, probably with many regular guests. A very well-maintained, customer-oriented and friendly ostrich economy that invites to evenings with wine. .
