Zesto Shop - Pierre

The ice sooners and malt were delicious. They've frozen the ice enough so it won't run down the arm. There is nothing like coming home and no trip completely without a trip to the best ice shop in Pierre.

Incredible little art deco-ish ice cream place that also serves lunch. Service was fast and friendly, although we only ordered ice cream. Several other customers had ordered lunch and the orders seemed to be served quickly. Reasonable prices, $4 for a small dirty river, twist ice cream, how fudge and crushed Oreos. Next time we're in the area, we'll be back.

A local tradition! When you grew up here and moved to Europe for 20 years, Zestos will be one of the things you miss and a guaranteed stop when you finally visit. Zesto is a strange franchise. They offer ice cream and that's it. The menu points are complete up to any location. So if you have a Zesto where you come from, it's not as good as this one. Try a mud flow, a Ranger Rick or one of the many other unique menu items. This business is really local family owned by a family that has given so much to the community in tons of ways during the years.

In 2007, this was our first time back. Zesto's in Pierre continues to be the best ice cream facility anywhere! The food is wonderful and the young children who work there are also wonderful. If you come to Pierre and don't try it, it's your loss.
