Bidrage med feedbackI went to The Waterfront recently with a friend who has been there before. We choose to sit upstairs. We were very disappointed to learn that if you sit upstairs you don't get any of the restaurant specials. We were there on $5 house wine night but didn't get the special. When my girlfriend questioned about a specific item not on the menu we were told that not items were available upstairs. The reason for this was because it makes the kitchen too busy?? We received a cheap photocopy menu. I do have to say that the food was good and the view lovely. Not 100% sure I will go back. Never heard of a restaurant having different menus or policies for different parts of the restaurant. They really want to discourage guests from sitting upstairs which does not make sense as the view is the highlight of the restaurant.
Went with my daughter for lunch . Great place...staff were very friendly, food was delicious and the view was amazing. You can look out over Frenchman's Bay, boats, sailing boats and Lake Ontario. We sat outside downstairs..there is also an upstairs balcony and dining inside both upstairs and downstairs . We ordered a salad and soup each. Very delicious. Will certainly be going back. In the immediate neighbourhood there is walking, hiking, and small shops and food trucks for ice cream etc.... A fun place! You'll like it I feel sure.
Perfect day for lunch...we had their homemade soup which was Cream of Broccoli and was absolutely delicious; Bruchetta was very good and Beet Salad was delicious. Craft beer and wine was good and the server Mel was very pleasant and attentive.
Beer was cold and food was hot. Next time i will try their wings. The food arrived in a timely manner and staff was very attentive .
Visited Waterfront Restaurant today. Very sorry we did. Sat on 2nd floor patio. Very nice view. Ordered a Cobb Salad and Prime rib sandwich. The cobb salad was essentially bits of romaine lettuce with 2 cherry tomatoes halved and approx. 12 pieces of "pulled chicken". They charge $18 for a less than basic salad that at home would cost about $1.50. The prime rib sandwich consisted of old dry french fries with some kind of "au jus". The restaurant is very busy as Pickering is growing in population so they really don't seem concerned. For anyone thinking of eating here DON'T. Visit the Port restaurant just around the corner. Get a similiar view and food at the same price but much better quality and ambience. We will not return.
