Sun Win Chinese Restaurant - Pickering

Our family eats here on a regular basis. My kids very much like chinese food so this place fills there needs. They have an assorted dinner for 4 that we like. They have never disappointed. You can not dine in. It is either pick-up or deliery.

We live in the neighborhood, and it is our go to spot for the freshest chinese food around town. We've had visitors come over and leave with dishes from them. lol great staff too.

I went on Friday despite my Dad telling me otherwise because of the drop in the quality of food and service. I called ahead and the gentleman who answered the phone was so abrupt and rude. After telling him my order (combo for one person), he told me debit isn't allowed for orders under $10 (it's NEVER been like that for the 15 years my family and I have been ordering from them, since the days of their old location on Bayly. That's how far back we go with them). The food: the chop suey that comes with it is now chicken and not beef. The chicken is so bland and the rest of the veggies look and taste lower quality. The fried rice has a burnt smokey taste to it. I had the sweet and sour ribs with it and that wasn't too bad. My Dad had the chicken wings previously that were totally undercooked with soggy skin. I'm really disappointed in these new owners. They have not kept up the quality of food and service has the previous owners. This was my go-to Chinese place in Pickering and sadly, I have to find a new place. This is what happens when you cheap out on food and service (like the whole debit thing), but want to increase the price.
